This is the verbal element of Land of Images. The topics of discussion cover all aspects of photography from hardware to image aesthetics.
We want the Juice Bar to be a place where you like to hang out. We cater to people who enjoy photography, and there is no charge for pulling up a chair and listening or participating. We see the Juice Bar as a place where you can make friends and exchange photographic knowledge and notions. We promise to do our best to maintain a friendly atmosphere.
This site is powered by WordPress. In case you don’t know, Word Press is a great open source blogging application. Our thanks to all the fine people who have participated in the development of this wonderful program. Because WordPress was created as a blogging platform, you can comment on nearly everything in the Juice Bar. We encourage you to take part in topics that interest you, but please be civil to other posters when you do.
The Juice Bar is divided into several major sections. There are Artist Blogs where you can post questions for an artist, maybe learn how they created a particular image, or read about their views on different aspects of photography.
The Forums are where site members exchange information and opinions. There are forums for everything pertaining to photography. Would you like to sell some of your used equipment, we have a forum for that too.
The Articles section is where you can read about all things photographic. The subjects range from image aesthetics to monitor calibration. Anyone can submit an article for consideration. If we like a submission we will post it for everyone to read.
In the Reviews you will find information about items like cameras, lenses, and other gadgets. Anyone can submit a review and we will post it if we feel our members will benefit from it.
In the Preferences section you can set some items like where you go when you enter the Juice Bar.
The Juice Bar hasn’t received as much attention as it deserves, so it is in need of further development. And now that the galleries section is ready for release it’s time to do some work on the Juice Bar. Quite awhile ago I wrote a few posts to see what blogging was like and to provide at least some content in the Juice Bar. They aren’t done yet, but I’ll get back to them soon.
